“Ruan Talay” Resort at Ban Saray Bay features an innovative restaurant complex that was built out over the sea, with a unique new design by Mr. Tachin Osathapan, on 1st October in 1977.  The traditional wooden pier was constructed to protrude over the sea by approximately 50 metres, with a massive total area of 4,000 square meters. In the outdoor area alone, it has 9-tables for 4-persons, and in another area of about 120 square meters, there are 80-tables that can offer dining services for 450 people, backed up by a well equipped and very extensive kitchen.

This superb, super-sized restaurant and accommodation complex is built on the shores of Ban Saray Bay, and includes a very extensive area where you can take a walk. Included in this area are many private holiday facilities, such as a pool table, karaoke, lounge bar, and beautiful flower gardens, where you can enjoy the cool, clean sea breezes. In this idyllic natural setting, you can watch the sun setting in the west, behind the mountains across the Ban Saray Bay. From the huge jetty with its extensive restaurants, karaoke and exclusive accommodation facilities, you can see Jomtien Bay, Koh  Larn Island, and the fishing boats in the bay. Not only are there stunning views by day, but at night the many lights from the fishing boats, give you unmatched night-time views in a perfect atmosphere of tranquility.

Some of the accommodation includes a blend of ultra modern amenities, combined with traditional Thai furnishings, and this includes two houses, which are built out over the sea. This unique and innovative idea is marvelous therapy for stressed out business people, who can relax in complete privacy, to the sounds of the sea, which swirls beneath their holiday home. In addition to this you can also enjoy successful fishing from the jetty or by a boat, because this area still has clear waters, where you will see many squid, and also be able to catch fish and crabs.

At the request of local residents, the owners have generously seen fit to create a monument to the create a monument to the ancient military leader Khun Krommahlowng Chumporn Kateudomsak otherwise known by the Thai people as “Sadeadtieng,”  This was inaugurated on the 19th December 2000, and was built in front of the Ruan Talay Restaurant, as a gesture of esteem towards this great man, who changed the course of Thailand’s history. The land area is so extensive, that it would also be possible to build a high rise condominium complex, which makes this exotic resort a developers dream.
